The Walther PPS M2 was introduced in 2016. At first, it was available in 9mm and 40 S&W calibers. As of 2018, it's available only in a 9mm caliber. It's similar to the PPQ M2 series by ergonomics and to the original PPS series by dimensions. It's a striker-fired, short-recoil operated pistol, available in several versions. It features 3.2-inch barrels, weighs 19.4 oz with an empty magazine, and has 3-dot sights in the basic version. Other versions of the Walther PPS M2 line are PPS M2 LE, with phosphoric night sights, PPS M2 Crimson Trace, with a factory-installed Crimson Trace Laserguard, and PPS M2 XS, with factory-installed XS F8 Tritium Night Sights.
