The Glock 30 quickly became very popular among plainclothes police officers and security staff because of its compact size combined with powerful big-bore .45 caliber. It is constructed with a polymer frame, gas nitride finish for extended durability, and cold-hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel and slide, with an overall length of 6.97 inches. It comes with two double-stuck 10-round magazines with extensions for better grip. The Gen 3 model has a thumb rest on both sides of the frame and finger grooves on the front side of the rail. Other Gen 3 features include a load chamber indicator, an extra cross pin, the Tenifer finish on the slide, and stock sights that can be configured or replaced later. The trigger is smooth and it resets fairly quickly. No external safeties, but the Glock handguns are well-known for their Safe Action System which includes three internal safeties. The gun achieves the best accuracy at short distances (7 or 15 yards), and with proper training, it is very precise even at 45 yards.
