Installing this on your rifle will assist and help take your customized rifle to the next level. Machined from 8620 steel, the Gorilla Machining mil-spec bolt carrier group is heat-treated with a Manganese Phosphate with hard chrome lining finish so there’s lower friction that minimizes the need for lubricants and cleaning. The heat treatment is to military specifications and tolerances. Because it has high fatigue strength, abrasion and impact resistance, toughness, and torsional strength, the Bolt, Gas Key, and Extractor are all manufactured from 4140 steel.
