I can assure you, any color variation that you see in the picture is just caused by the product lighting. The nickel boron coating is evenly applied and of high quality.

Just a note about these carriers… I had one and it would fail to fully cycle by not becoming fully seated with each new round. Talked to Ares and apparently they had issues with too much coating on the gas key. Suggesting fix is racking the charging handle about 50 times. I tried, didn't work.
You actually got a response from them????? After two weeks of being ignored when this POS BCG would jam up just dropping it into the receiver, I did a chargeback on my CC. Customer service at Ares SUCKS!
It took some doing, and spanned over about two months but I just finally got it taken care of yesterday
I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I've had one of these come back to us due to being tight in a customer's upper. Other than that, I have not seen any issues with them. With that said, We'd be happy to make it right for the customer in the rare case of any problems though.
Yeah, I wasn't trying to comment on y'alls customer service, just a note on the BCG. IF you stand by your products and won't give me the run around to get a working unit - I'm considering getting another one
Product problems are rare, but I'm happy to correct them when they do arise. Any issues and I can send out replacements or pre-paid return labels for a complete refund. I try to keep it as easy as possible for people : )
Just by the photograph of the BCG I can tell this is a low quality coat of "Nickel Boron", it looks uneven I wouldn't trust it.
