Description

COUPON CODE: EFFIN10 Retail $99.99 after coupon $89.99

Effin-A Compensator MKII is designed to allow users the ability to adjust the manner in which the gas exits from the weapon. The Effin-A Compensator MKII features 8 columns and 3 rows of exit ports that can be either opened or closed through the very simple use of set screws. The exit ports are not threaded completely through to eliminate the possibility of the screw being over turned into the chamber. This feature also allows the screw to "bottom out" increasing tightness and ensuring that it will not work itself out under the pressure of the gasses being released by the weapon. The Effin-A Compensator MKII weighs in at only 2.5 ozs; which is half the weight of the previous version. Allen Key is included.

Objects at rest tend to stay at rest and objects in motion tend to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. Muzzle flip is caused by the pressure that is released down the center of the bore in relation to the contact points of the weapon and the shooter. Muzzle climb is solved by this device in two ways; The EFFIN-A Compensator's timed and tunable exit ports act as an outside force that returns the weapon to a "position of rest" after the round has been fired (the round acts as the initial force causing the unwanted motion) by directly countering the force in relation to the standard shooter contact points on the weapon. This Compensator is also designed to directly increase the weapons moment of inertia by accurately counter balancing the mass of the front of the weapon in relation to the force of motion created by the original force. The balance concept is similar to ancient weight ratio techniques used in spears to allow steady aim and flight.

Note: testing was conducting with two types of ammunition, Matchgrade and GreenTips

Ok, I did some checking around and it turns out even though this is an Ares Armor item it is being sold by Allamericansupplies.(AAS). I touched base with AAS to confirm they have them in stock and I would not be subject to the Ares Armor run around with shipping. Their customer service rep confirmed they were in stock at AAS. I have purchased from AAS before, directly from their site (allamericansupplies.com. Always got fast shipping and great customer service. Long story short, my new comp is now on the way.

Pretty good review of this comp's features here even if it's on a 10/22.

The fully custom feature is definitely intriguing; gives you a lot of control.

I bought one of the original Effin A comps from a guy I work with after he sold his AK and found an extra he had. He told me how great he thought they were so I decided to buy it from him and give it a try.
I have used NUMEROUS other comps on various rifles through the years but I have to say that the Effin A surpassed all expectations I had even after hearing him rave about it.
I know the Battlecomp is about the most popular ones out there and haven't tried one yet but I can't imagine a comp that works any better than the Effin A. I was initially turned off by the set screws but the performance is worth it. They are amazingly effective.
I had no Idea there was a new version and was looking to get a couple more anyway so I think I may try one of the gen 2 versions.

You guys be careful with this stuff. Not my business really and besides the fact that Ares Armor is a shit company, this compensator might be recognized as a suppressor according to ATF rules.

http://www.atf.gov/firearms/guides/importation-verification/firearms-verification-nfa-silencer.html...

The term “Firearm Silencer” or “Firearm Muffler” means any device for silencing, muffling, or diminishing the report of a portable firearm.

This one probably will be "diminishing the report " as gases will go trough the few small holes not exactly drilled straight.

Honestly your warning makes it more intriguing since I live in a state that doesn't allow suppressors. Frankly the imperial government could kill and imprison anyone it wishes for any reason.

What I am interested in is why you keep saying Ares Armor is so terrible? I don't have a dog in this fight; you may be right. Frankly though there are lots of companies with poor products out there but once in a while they make a really good item. Gerber knives comes to mind; most of their products are shit but they make a few really good items that are affordable.

This is first review from the web. If you look for it you will find more

I have edited this review to reflect my current feeling on this establishment.
For a long time I was very happy with Ares Armor. I liked the products, I liked the guys running the shop. They make quality soft goods.

HOWEVER, The worst thing to happen to this shop is the introduction of the 80% lower. They totally ruined everyones opinion of them.

I no longer recommend these guys to anyone. In fact I warn people to stay away. And the many many stories of their failures have reached the ear of the gun industry. I have been horrified with they way their "customer service" helps out clients. I bought, well no actually, just paid for. Buying eludes to the fact that I would have received something in return. I gave them money for an 80% over 6 months ago. I emailed them and asked for a refund. And they actually told me I was under a contract and I was not going to get my money back. It has been too long and I no longer even want the product they offer. I have no need for it anymore. The project it was planned for is no longer an option due to monetary cut backs on my part. They refuse to give any of my money back for something I do not even have, nor want. Classy.

As someone on a California gun forum put it, They are making 100% profit right now. Taking people's money and not giving them anything. What a great business model!
SHADY.

DO NOT BUY FROM ARES ARMOR. Do your homework. Read the forums. Go buy somewhere else. When buying local screws you over, go to the internet. You can actually find an online store that gives you something in exchange for your hard earned greenbacks!!

Product of Ares Armor. Read about them before you commit to a purchase. It is one of the worst companies in the industry.
