The Ruger Wrangler, announced in 2019, is a single-action rimfire revolver that is chambered for .22 LR (Long Range) ammo. The capacity of the cylinder is 6 rounds, and the overall length of the gun is 10.25 inches. It is designed for both left-handed and right-handed users and is perfect for life on the ranch or farm. The Wrangler frame is made of aluminum alloy, while the grip is plastic, with a checkered texture, and the frame casted from a zinc alloy. This combination of materials gives the gun incredible lightweight and comfortable handling. Cold-hammer-forged steel barrel has a polymer-ceramic Cerakote finish and is available in three colors: black, silver, and bronze. The steel cylinder is unfluted and it rotates clockwise on a removable base pin. It’s loaded using the loading gate on the right side of the frame, and empty rounds are discharged one by one using the spring-loaded ejection rod. Opening the loading gate also makes the cylinder available for rotating in both directions. There is no manual safety lever like on some other models. The hammer is cocked by hand, making the gun ready to fire, and there is no half-hammer position on it. The Wrangler uses the Single-Six’s hammer and trigger, and it operates in the same way as a Colt or Remington single-action revolvers. It also has durable fixed sights, the front blade mounted in the barrel, and a rear notch above the cylinder. The revolver is easy to shoot and a great choice even for beginners.
