Recently placed a first time order with SG, joined the buyers club, and used a coupon.
That order is now shipping and confirmed enroute.
Placed a second order with them and used the same coupon.
Order went fully through the online checkout system.
SG emailed me next day and tells me I can only use a coupon code one time. (did not know that)
Gave me the choice of paying more or cancelling order.
I cancelled.
I would think a check out system would be smart enough to know when a coupon is used more than once and deny the use IF THAT IS TRULY THE POLICY.
gun.deals has the same coupon code on virtually all the SG deals.
Would be nice to know ahead of time that a coupon code is good only once in a lifetime.
Be advised.
Cheers

The only thing that bugs me about Sportsman Guide is they show the membership price and want $30 bucks a year for the discount and I guess its worth it to heavy shooters but misleading for folks watching gun.deals for prices The only advise I can give on that is do a Google search for coupons sometimes you can offset your lack of discount

This ammo didn't fire (light strikes) consistently in my SCCY CPX-2. Other various ammo had no problems. This ammo did function fine in my Taurus PT111-G2.

Superman, I think they use kryptonite primers, might be why?

Goes bang every time in a Ruger or smith... You might wanna get your CPX2 checked out

I'm more concerned about the quality of Sellier and Bellot - I've never tried any.

Is it good and how do you think it compare with standard Winchester white box? I see the white box as above average... maybe a 6/10.

S&B is good stuff. In my personal experience, it's cleaner and more consistent than WWB. That's a 6, then I'd go 7.5-8 for S&B (and Fiocchi too, btw). I haven't seen lacquer on the brass cases like noted below, but I've only shot the 9mm.

About the European manufacturers- don't fall into the "get American or it's junk" trap. The 9mm NATO round is "their baby", so getting a good brand from one of those countries will mean you're getting good ammo.

The Czechs make CZ pistols, and use Sellier & Bellot.
Italians make Beretta and Fiocchi.
GECO for German/Swiss (SIG, Walther etc).

I'd prefer these brands in FMJ above WWB, UMC or Blazer Brass by a good margin, and wouldn't hesitate to use their defensive rounds either.

S&B is TOP quality ammo. Military spec, laquered cases if that bothers you. High quality brass. It has been my preferred plinking practice ammo for the last 20 years or so. Fired 10s of thousands of rounds never a bad round, never smoky like many of the reloads, And shoots CLEAN and consistantly

can't be any worse than russian steel, and even that shoots fine

Thanks scooby and BrianKBrown for the great insight.

I cancelled my back order of PMC and switched it to in stock S&B. Looking forward to trying it. I also noticed that the bullets look to be sealed - if so then another big plus.

Ordered Many Times from them without issues. They often have free shipping coupon codes available, so be on the lookout for those. Great deal on good Ammo no issues, good to stock up.

Bad retailer. Terrible business practices. They collect orders, only to cancel them a year later because the market value has increased, and they can sell their product at higher prices.

The part that bugs me is that they collect tax on shipping. What the hell is that all about? It wasn't much $ so I didn't even bother inquiring. They have solid deals tho. I have not had any major issues with them.

Best and cheapest place I have ever bought ammo online! Never even one problem in two years and no one is cheaper.

They don't charge until they ship, and have shipped everything I have ever ordered. Every backordered item has come in earlier than expected.

To each their own.
