The modern Taurus 66 is a medium-framed revolver that comes with two variants, 4-inch or 6-inch barrel length. There are also different finishes available, such as matte stainless or matte oxide. The barrel, frame, and cylinder are made of durable stainless steel. The 4-inch Taurus 66 is greatly balanced, with effective the red ramped front sight and the black rear sight.
