In the 1990s, a match-grade handgun called the Mark 23 was created for combat. The MK 23 is waterproof and corrosion-resistant, making it exceptionally durable in challenging conditions. It has a polygonal barrel construction, which increases precision and endurance. A threaded O-ring barrel with a polygonal bore profile, a one-piece steel slide and corrosion-proof fiber-reinforced polymer frame, an oversized trigger guard with a match-grade trigger, ambidextrous controls, and a universal mounting rail for tactical accessories are just a few of the remarkable features of the DA/SA H&K Mark 23. Additionally, it has an ambidextrous magazine release and safety on both sides of the frame. The MK 23 is a part of a larger weapons platform that also incorporates a suppressor, a mountable Laser Aiming Module (LAM), and some other features including a unique high-pressure match cartridge (.45 + P ammo).
