The Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless is a self-loading, semi-automatic handgun with a .32 ACP caliber. It was designed by John Browning and manufactured by the Colt Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company, in Hartford, Connecticut. The Model 1903 is marketed as being "hammerless," but it actually has a hammer that is concealed and out of sight behind the back of the slide. This allows the handgun to be carried in and taken out of a pocket without snagging. It has a 3.75" barrel, grip safety, slide, and frame made of 4140 carbon steel, fixed front and rear sights, and an American walnut grip. The rear sight may be drift-adjusted for windage. A serrated slide and two safety mechanisms (grip safety and manual safety) are special characteristics that help prevent slipping when the slide is manually cycled. This pistol is a memorial to the great generation's leaders and their legendary weapons.
