The Browning Citori is a double-barreled shotgun with one barrel stacked over the other, often known as an"over-and-under" or "stacked-barrel" shotgun. It is produced for Browning by the Miroku Corporation in Nangoku, Japan, and sold and distributed by the Browning Arms Company in Morgan, Utah. The Citori is produced in a broad range of models, designs, and gauges to suit fans of upland bird and waterfowl hunters, as well as clay target sports like trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Barrel lengths differ from 26 inches for skeet shooting to 32 inches for sporting clays and trap shooting. Along the whole length of the barrel tube, a vented rib is welded to the top barrel. Shotguns in the Browning Citori series have a long history of excellence and reliability. This gun's core is a lovely combination of appealing wood and sturdy steel. The receiver boasts exquisite engraving that matches its sleek, clean contours. For increased surface strength, newer Citori internal barrels are coated with chromium. The base model has a brilliant blue coating on all metal components. The industry standard is rubber recoil butt pads (12 gauge) or plastic butt plates (sub-gauges). All Citori types include shell ejectors that discharge spent shells when the breech is opened by pushing aside the top lever and bending the action completely open, which simultaneously re-cocks the internal hammers. Citori actions are constructed using internal hammers and coil springs. The gun is opened using a lever on the spine of the action, just like the majority of over-under shotguns. Citori shotguns have full-width tapered locking bolts. This gives the shotgun extra strength to keep closed. Additionally tapered, the locking mechanism enables it to seat ever deeper with wear over many years of use. For a better sight image against the bead at the end, this firearm has elevated rib and 2.75-inch chambers with chrome lining.
