With the larger, more powerful shotgun ammunition in mind, the Browning Gold Semi Auto Shotguns were manufactured. Other Browning Gold variants are no longer being manufactured, except the Gold Light 10 Gauge Field Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat. The Gold Light 10 Gauge Field Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat features a new forearm design and a sturdy composite stock with adjusted drops for a better fit. Additionally, a parallel portion can be cut down by a skilled gunsmith up to 3/4" to reduce the length of pull while still accommodating the Inflex 2 recoil butt pad. There are textured grip regions on the stock forearm as well, so you can maintain your grip in various conditions. The aluminum alloy receiver improves mobility, handling, and balance. To accommodate all 10-gauge ammunition, the receiver features a 3-1/2" chamber. Recoil reduction is excellently realized by both the gas-operated action and the Inflex recoil pad. The barrel utilizes flush interchangeable Standard Invector Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder (F, M, IC) choke tubes. A 4-shell capacity tube magazine is underneath, neatly tucked into the ergonomic forearm. The trigger is made of matte black metal, and the trigger guard is also of matte black alloy. The ventral surface of the trigger has the distinctive Gold Buck Mark. The bolt slide and butt pad are matte black as well. The lengths of the steel barrel are 26" and 28".
