The most eye-catching line in the Kimber pistol collection is without a question the 1911 Covert series. The covert family includes Custom, Pro, and Ultra versions and is created as a 24/7 personal protection weapon for the average individual. Every member of the family receives a tactical wedge night sight with green light and a Crimson Trace laser handle as standard equipment. Digital camouflage, the Kimber logo, and 30 LPI checkering are all present on the grips. The Covert does not have a rail or a threaded barrel, though, so it lacks modularity. There is some advantage because the full-sized Covert is lighter and more in line with current hidden-carry preferences. The Covert series might be a good choice for you if you don't like more flashy or stainless styles.
