The Mossberg 702 Plinkster is a semi-automatic rifle that uses 10- or 25-round box magazines and is chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. Several .22 caliber rimfire guns are available from Mossberg, including the 702 Plinkster. It is offered with a wide variety of barrel and stock configurations, including chrome and blued steel barrels as well as synthetic and maple stocks. The chromium barrel is 21 inches long, while the blued barrel is 18 inches. One of the least expensive semi-auto 22s available. It is very light because almost everything is constructed of plastic. It is a small bore gun with an inherent accuracy that is simple to use and ideal for both novice and experienced shooters. The receiver has a groove for 3/8" dovetail rings or sight attachments. It's a wonderful plinker that's also great for hunting small animals or getting rid of pests.
