Um that’s for just the upper…from what I’ve seen, OpticsPlanet doesn’t sell lowers. So…not for just a few dollars more. This deal ☝️is for both upper AND lower.

Nice catch. Didn’t read the fine print.

Agreed - much nicer features engraved into the receivers and probably lighter. Good find!

Bpuff! What the hell.
My earlier very short comment was meant to be both informative, and in jest. Apparently, in your mind you felt the need to set me straight with a sarcastic reply based on your assumptions, and mind reading. I would have no problem with a factual based critique that focused on the merits of the receiver set, but your focus seemed to be more directed on your opinion of me as a person, and my obvious shortcomings. I will say this Only One Time. I highly recommend you avoid any negative personal comments directed toward me in future. Consider that a Warning.
I must go, some friends stopped by to help me look for that mole hill, and mountain you said I made, and some of those ugly receiver set beholders you bragged about. I hope you weren't "Bulls--ting me.

It’s hard to read intent online through text, so all good. Wasn’t trying to bust your chops, and definitely wasn’t trying to be sarcastic. Also wasn’t trying to offend you personally. I also don’t see in my comment where I said anything about you as a person. I don’t know you at all personally, so why would I say anything negative about you.

As for a factual argument on the topic of the material, I guess maybe I incorrectly assumed that you were saying 6061 is a negative. If not, apologies. If so, those sorts of “certainties” aren’t really all that certain.

Here’s a good article on the pros/cons of 6061 and 7075:
https://www.80percentarms.com/blog/7075-t6-vs-6061-t6-aluminum-billet-80-lowers/#:~:text=For%20our%20uses%20in%20an,t%20as%20hard%20to%20fabricate....

Both materials have their merits.

And again, how something looks is entirely subjective. If you don’t like how it looks, totally fine. But other folks - like me - don’t think it’s all that bad.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers.

Machined from 6061-T6. Why would any company make a billet set this ugly?

Seems to me you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill with regard to the 6061-T6 point.

And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may not like the look, but others probably do.
