There's a reason milspec requires 7075 alloy for M4/16 lowers & uppers: 6061 was tried early on ['cause it's cheaper!] and they discovered it corrodes too easily in hostile environments. I suppose w/ modern surface treatments like Cerakote [, sp?] the point may be moot, but if you're just going to anodize this thinking that's good enough, well, it may not be...
