The Vertex Upper Was Designed To Be Used With Pistol Calibers Specifically And As A Result Doesn't Have A Dust Door Or Forward Assist. This Was Done To Save Weight As Well Improve Functionality And Reliability By Focusing On A Simple Design That Has Fewer Moving Parts And Therefore Fewer Parts That Can Break, All The While Not Compromising On Strength And Durability.
