Check your email. Sportsman's Warehouse sent out a bunch of $100 off, single use codes on this gun, bringing it down to $379.99. If you were lucky enough to get the code, it expires 5/2/22
id rather go turk or italian made for $30-50 less. can even get textured wood grips for less
Someone gave me the officer size 1911 A1 from rock island armory,it runs well if you’re using ball ammunition, but if you’re using Hollow points it jams every other round, l can’t say the sights are that good either
Bought this exact pistol for $400 about 4 years ago, haven't seen it this ow in a while. Great entry level 1911.
I've purchased three handguns from Bud's and had nothing but great results. You can find bad reviews for anything if you look hard enough. Marketing folks will tell you that people complain about poor service but are less likely to comment if they receive what's expected.
I would not hesitate to order from Bud's.
I have purchased seven guns from them. Top-notch service each time.
A 1911 for less than $400 from one of my favorite online gun vendors. Wish I had the cash. Is this a good gun?
im from Pocatello, Idaho if I wanna buy a gun can you ship it to my address?
Go to ResellerRatings and punch in their info. 3.17 out of 10 from over 500 reviews. Tells you something. I actually went ahead and ordered one of these.
Called Jackie to see if I could change it to the Tactical. After playing games with me she said no.
So eventually I will receive this, but even one of the FFLs I called told me they won't deal with them again-ever. We shall see.
Haters are gonna hate. There's nothing wrong with Buds. I and several others I know have not had any problems with them.
So I suppose everyone that complained about them are wrong-simple haters, but of course it is your opinion that only matters? Must be nice to live such a trouble free life. I will post up my full experience with them once my transaction is complete, but at least I'm not going make blanket statements such as yourself in the process.
In for one. Just need a FFL in So Cal, North LA County. Anyone have experience on Ricks Pawn Shop?
The Buds warranty will cover the cost of shipping it for service, which would likely cost more than the warranty cost. So IMO it's worth it...
Hate to admit - that is a good deal, but Bud's does still suck.
Including $4 shipping insurance and lifetime warranty for $16.45, this came out to a grand total of $349.45. Got it on layaway!
Why are you paying for a lifetime warranty? Correct me if I am wrong but don't all Rock Island firearms come with a fully transferable (follows the gun) lifetime warranty from the manufacturer?
Actually when you checkout it says it comes with a ONE year warranty. For 16.00 and some change you have indefinite warranty coverage. So if you want the lifetime warranty it will cost you the extra 16.00
That is likely a BUD'S warranty trying to bait people to buy their warranty.
In my email from Ryan Crotty at Armscor:
"Thanks for contacting us. All of our firearms come with a lifetime warranty that transfers with ownership. Everything is covered under normal operations. About the only way to void warranty is by altering the firearm beyond factory specifications and is unable to return to factory specs."
This is the the manufacturer's warranty.
Damn. Yeah, I got the warranty in case they charged shipping. Oh well, at least it's a (cheap) lesson learned for next time
This is correct. I recently had warranty work done by Armscor and Ryan was the same guy I dealt with. Armscor paid shipping both ways, turnaround time was quick, and lifetime warranty from them rocks! Do not buy a warranty for an Armscor firearm, its free.
Oh, I see. Yeah, I bet thats it. It also said they would pay for shipping there and back if you ever had to send it in.
The Tisas (ASF in particular) GI 1911's are Far superior IMO.
..and less expensive also
