This is a perfect example of how a good gun is held down because of poor management.

Why no 10 round mags in stock?
Why no backorder?

Just like the PAP M77 worthless until decent mags are available.

I would just spend 250-300 for a good used rem 1100 at pawn shop. Or 100 for a non working one. Most of the time they only need a good thorough cleaning, may be rings.

I purchased the 10 rd MKA 1919 magazines for $10 each plus tax from Best Pawn in Sherman Tx back in March of this year. The magazines started out @ $25.00 each last year, I guess not many MKA 1919 owners around here at that time. Here is their web site, it just has contact information. http://www.bestpawnsuperstore.com/...
Not sure if they have any more. Wish I would have bought more!

Exactly why I won't buy one, the magazines are $60 a pop, forget it. They should be $20 each at the most for a measly 10 rounds. I bought a Mossberg 930 pro 13 shot and I'm planning on buying another one. If these mags were cheaper I would have already purchased two MKA-1919s. A friend of mine told me his MKA-1919 wore out before his Mossberg also, he said at just over 300 rounds the chrome started coming off the barrel and parts showed a lot of wear.

$681.00 when in stock verses a $400.00 shotgun?
Lets just compare a $700.00 Browning rifle to a $400.00 Savage brand rifle - Then we can trash Savage all day long! If you have only $400.00 to spend then tell me what semi-shotgun is better than this?

Palmetto State has had the 930 JMs, 22" and 24" for $570 consistently, and free s&h every so often. US made so no 922 issues. It's $100 more than what I paid for a regular 24", and it brings a bit over $100 in parts (retail) plus chrome plated internals.

I shot 105 rounds of cheap Walmart low brass target rounds very quickly without a single issue. The only thing I don't like about this shotgun is the cost of the magazines. I'm looking for a way to convert the Siega 12 magazines but no luck yet.
Lots of people buy a gun for more money and think they need to tell everyone to buy the same gun. Not so. I bought mine at $700 when they first came out and I would buy it for that price again. The fact you can get it for $500 now just means you should buy it before everybody else gets smart.
I put weaver rails onto the handguard for light attachments. It was very easy to do.
This is a very nice shooting gun with great ergonomics and if you're used to an AR 15, this is the gun too buy.

There seems to be a limited base of reviews for both the mka and the BR-99 so its difficult to make a decision. For me, being reliable shooting cheap walmart loads is a great selling point. 12G loads are crazy expensive starting at .30 a load but you never hear people complaining . All you hear about are rifle and pistol calibers but 12G is far from economical to target shoot unless
You can shoot cheap stuff.
Well.....for me..if its going to cost me .50-70 a load to target shoot a shotgun.....i'm less inclined to buy it. Thats why i didnt buy the vepr.
Great gun, great reviews but too expensive to shoot and it will sit silent more often than not.

I do believe there are mag extension and coupler kits/ tutorials for the 1919 online.
There are a few companies that specialize in accessories for this shotgun as well.
No doubt......the accessory prices are not cheap and you could easily spend another 500 bucks fine tuning your mka1919

Reports seem to vary from owner to owner.

Very true. Both of my Veprs required work. My fixed stock is less touchy with light loads. My side folder has been a project gun. I have had to profile the bolt carrier, hammer and recoil rod. I have about 500 rounds through it and it still has FTE with Winchester 1200 FPS 1 1/8.

I haven't read ONE review to back up your claim

Go onto Saiga 12 or Vepr forum. There are several cases of VEPRS having FTE with light loads. The VEPR is requires proper shooting stance with light loads. I have had issues first hand issues one of my guns. The recoil rod was binding in the carrier. It had a real rough action out of the box. From Russia with love.

So? Thats your issue....not mine.

My Vepr had issues, then I read more and ran the crap out of it with heavy loads I had laying around from mixed boxes. Now it shoots everything I have run through it even Winchester Universal. Break In seems to be very important for the Vepr. They are dwindling in supply now but I would still recommend one even at the the higher prices.

That being said it's whatever floats your boat. I think people push the gun they have if they were happy with it and just want others to have that experiance.

Just purchased three 10rd magazines for $10 each. Magazine had Made by XNARMS on one side and MKA 1919 on the other side, made in Turkey on the bottom. Shot 30rds with one with no issues.

Yeah, I'm gonna call bullshit on the 10$ mags too. If you can back it up, please do, otherwise, quit posting the BS....

And when I say back it up, post a link or name the website, don't say 'my brothers cousins sister sold it to me' ....
