There are few pieces of metal more beautiful than Damascus steel. For centuries, swords were forged from Damascus steel all over the world, creating a weapon that was as beautiful as it was functional. Now you can add that same ancient beauty to your custom gun, transforming it from a simple carry gun into a work of art you’ll be proud to display.

Start with a slide blank made from random pattern (Aeb-L and 302 stainless) Damascus steel and tell us exactly how you'd like it configured!

Not meaning to instigate on this topic, but I personally am both unable to make this "wanna-be-Damascus" and unable to mill a slide like this. I would venture that the number of people in the States who are capable of doing both well are pretty slim. Where there is scarcity, there is a higher price. I agree that the price is abysmal and very much doesn't belong on Gun.Deals. However, we may benefit from standing back and appreciating that there IS a market for something like this. It may not be for me, you, or most people. But, if we have a market for this sort of thing - we DEFINITELY have a market for the majority of the parts for us laypeople.

“I should put a $1500 slide on my $500 plastic block looking gun”.... Said no one with common sense.

In this world of wearing masks, Biden being a legit candidate, Trump is to blame for everything, Covid has really killed only 9210 - why not? A $1499 glock slide makes total sense. #plandemic

I know, and get, the joke...but...
Anyone who's been in jail or prison when a child molester gets brought in knows that there was never any joke.
All you can hear from fathers, brothers, and uncles is "don't close your eyes" said as loud as possible.
Eventually the Epsteins close their eyes and it becomes a permanent condition.
Fact of life lesson number 14.

Really? WHY??? especially on a brick like duty weapon that is the glock... Glock is never expected to be some on the shelf beauty queen.... its not something like a Colt 1911 or Some other firearms that one MIGHT understand it for show only... but no way am I understanding this kind of money being spent on a Glock slide! And even worse is this isnt even true damascus layered steel! its a fake ass "etching process". Same shit they do to crappy pakistan knives on ebay.... there are no true layers of folded damascus steel used. True Damascus use over 240 layers of alternating strength's of steel. No way!!

True damascus cannot be made, the mine the wootz steel was from was played out 300 years ago.
The correct term would be 'forge pattern welded' or simply 'pattern welded'.
If you read in the description it is layered 'Aeb-L and 302 stainless' which is not some "etched pattern" as you describe (and yes I've seen those fake knives and know what you refer to).
I have seen one of these slides in person and can say without a doubt, it's not fake.
I can also say that in no way would I use one and expect it to hold together....302 stainless is not a very good steel to start with (I have no idea what Aeb-L is and don't feel the need to look it up, I assume similar to 7n20 for the contrast in coloring).
Yes pricey, but pattern welding is a costly process....it just doesn't improve on anything other than looks.
I don't know any gunsmith that would say it's ok to shoot a "twist damascus" barreled rifle, they are well known for blowing up in the shooters face.
BTW, 3 layers is 'San Mai' and 4 or more layers is pattern welded, there has never been a 240 layer rule, some japanese swords had thousands of layers and some viking swords had 10 or 12 (those are extremes and only used as example).
