Description
The Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 is a family of bolt-action rifles available in a wide variety of calibers. Manufactured from 1936-1963, these Model 70s feature the original Mauser-type non-rotating claw extractor, with controlled round feed. This is unlike the later models’ push feed system. The Model 70 Pre-64 was available with barrels at 22”, 24”, or 26” inches of length, while the stock is checkered to ensure users have a firm grasp on these half-century old classic rifles. Shooting Times named this the “Bolt-action Rifle of the Century” in 1999.Seller DescriptionThis WIN Custom M70 is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm Rem Mag and using a pre-64 style action with positive extractor. The composite HS Precision stock provides users a secure grasp, while a recoil pad cushions users' shoulders with each shot fired. This Custom M70 has a 24" barrel topped with a Kahles Helia 2.2-9x42 scope. A grey Cerakote finish covers the barrel and action, and swivel studs in the stock allow for easy attachment of a sling for easier transport.ModificationsCustom Rifle Unknown Manufacturer Built On A M70 Pre 64 Type Action, Includes A Kahles Helia 2.2-9X42 ScopeUPCGDC0000000647Caliber7MM REMINGTON MAGNUMActionBOLT ACTIONCapacity3 ROUNDSBarrel Length24 BARRELWeight8.199999999999999

Always something fishy about these guns.com deals.
The scope is old but one of the very best and is still worth at least $500 and probably more like $650.
The H&S stock = $300'ish
A pre64 Winchy has some decent value just by existing, they are collectors items after all.
Lemme guess a bit...
Barrel is shot out ? Rifle was cerakoted to hide massive rust and pitting issues ? Some seriously unsafe *other* mods were done to the rifle ?
Yea, shit don't add up.
HARD pass.
