If you put a different muzzle device on it, drop a 9mm bullet through the add-on to make sure a fired round will clear; 9mm will NOT clear .223/5.56 muzzle devices. The 4.5" 9mm pistol AR barrel is machined from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel and given a quench-polish-quench (QPQ) case hardening.
