Over the last two years, we have been working behind the scenes to develop what we feel is the most rugged, portable, practical, and functional Texas Star available on the market, and now we have finally made it available to you!
The Texas Star is a target system widely used by both competition shooters and enthusiasts alike. With five 3/8” AR500 8” targets mounted on the end of arms; this target will begin spinning as soon as the natural balance is offset when a round strikes any of the target faces. Once the target begins to spin, it will continue to do so until all the remaining targets have been knocked off the arms by the shooter, at which point the target can be reset. When shot, the plates release from our adjustable tension spring loaded brackets and simply fall to the ground.
The ShootSteel.com Texas Star uses a machined shaft and dual flange bearings to ensure smooth and uninterrupted spinning, making this an excellent target for training to shoot a moving target, or simply to challenge yourself and your shooting buddies. The targets, arms, and center hub are all CNC laser cut from 3/8” AR500 for maximum durability to virtually guarantee a lifetime of use, and the legs and upright armor section are cut from 3/16” AR400 to protect against low misses while maintaining a low overall weight. All hardware on the strike face side of the target are grade 8 hardened bolts, meaning you will not have to worry about replacing hardware after a long day at the range, and our unique spring system allows the user to adjust the tension of the target retainers so that the target system can be used with a wide variety of cartridges without worrying about malfunctions.
Some assembly is required, and detailed instructions will be included with each product.
