I bought one awhile back @$50. Today it's $67.46

Does not have grip or stock. It was a bit hard to get the receiver in with some tapping. Arrives in a plastic bag. Had a small nick in the receiver. Super lightweight. The forehand is pretty thin. Too thin, borderline flexible, so I wouldn't trust the full length picatinnys to much more than a light. Eyeballing the rail, it looks a little off. My 10/22 has a bull barrel, so the adapter at the muzzle does not fit, and does not have anyway to secure the end to a bull.

All in all, not bad, but really not great. Put the hogue stock back on. First person that offers me $40 for it could take it off my hands.

So you can buy this riffle for only $44.98 total and it's ready to shoot,?

It’s only the chassis not the entire firearm

For some reason after using a mallet to get it together my bolt won't cycle. I have a ss 10/22. Is there a difference bcuz the stock looks bowed out and in the receiver area and bolt won't cycle.

Are the grip and stock available for purchase as well? Do you guys @ghostmanufacturing have a packsge that includes all three? If not you may want to consider making one!

Dude I am just scared by the mallet assisted installation part lol.

$300-350 for a m&p 22 vs $200 for a ruger 10/22 and 50 for this chassis. :) im cheap.

This is a really good product, got mine yesterday. No lie, its a really tight fit. I had to use a mallet to get the receiver into the frame, but no theres no damage or scratches. One thing important to note is that the keymod holes are just aesthetics, i was going to use my left over bmc rail covers and they dont line up at all. Had ghost manu. Confirm its just for aesthetics. This chassis very light. I had a talo edition 10/22 and ghost manuf chassis is lighter then that set up. I recommend 100%.

Why not just buy S&W MP-22?

I received my kit today. It took me longer to get the receiver in than it did to assemble the rest of the kit. But as far as the rest goes, it is what it is. Plastic. The screws are cheap. The brass that the screws go into is decent. Once you get it together it's actually not bad at all. It's a tight fit and feels great. I am using the MFT Minimalist stock in SDE with matching grip and rail covers. I'm very pleased with it. I'm glad I bought this over the Archangel EX kit for a fraction of the price. And I have a barrel shroud from a Archangel kit that I'm going to cut down to make it look a little beefier. 10/10 would recommend for the money spent.

Can't you simply go to a hardware store and upgrade the fasteners? Stainless steel screws aren't cheap, but I doubt you need very many fasteners. There are other materials available as well. I would think a drop of blue Loctite applied to each screw would sufficiently keep them in place. I've got a few 10/22 setups, including one with a .920" stainless steel bull barrel, a Burris Sweet 22 scope and the Archangel stock with Harris bipod. It's a tack driver for sure.

Looking forward to building this one...

I don't want to loctite mine because I want to be able to access it to clean it. But if you chose to upgrade then a single pack from Home Depot or lowes would be enough.

Sweet! My daughter wants me to customize her stainless steel 10/22 that came with a synthetic stock. It'll already shoot quite well, but I like their upgraded trigger. The thing is as short and crisp as can be had on the cheap.

Received mine today. I'm impressed with the speed of delivery and updates I received from the seller.

Admittedly this is my first experience with an aftermarket 10/22 chassis but honestly, unless I'm missing something, I'm not at all disappointed in mine. It is polymer...but that was known when I ordered it. I had to provide the grip and stock myself but that was also known. As far as the hardware, it is what I would consider to be minimal...6 screws in all...but it seems to be effective. I assembled in about 10 minutes including the 5 or so it took to force the receiver into the chassis. It is a TIGHT fit. I didn't experience a stripping issue but was careful not to over tighten the screws as they were going into brass encased in polymer. It seems to be sturdy but I will Loctite all hardware in the morning before testing it out on the range. Hopefully the mixed reviews I've found online about Loctite and brass are a non issue and the set up will hold fine.

All in all, for $57 shipped, compared to other models available, I look forward to enjoying this one on the range. If I had another spare 10/22, I'd buy again at this point. Will update the board if any issues arise.

What other models are you referring to? That this is polymer is a non-issue. I have seven polymer AR15 systems sitting here next to me as I write, and not one has ever failed or broken. I think people who talk about the polymer being cheap just aren't using them. I've carried polymer pistols my whole career in law enforcement, including the Hk USP40, Glock 17, 19, 22, & 23, and the Sig Sauer 2340 AKA SigPro, and not one has broken. The only reason I have so many polymer framed pistols is the fact I'm a true gunslut.

Can't wait to get this one. I'm hoping the screws you mentioned can be replaced with something of better quality if they are as crappy as indicated. Blue Loctite will help too.

Received mine, mounted it, I agree with No sale. Tight fit, light, shoulders good with a Magpul fixed stock and MOE grip. Will update further after zeroing my optic and testing at the range, hopefully this coming weekend.

It is what it is. I'm not gonna bitch a fit over the $50 I spent on this plastic chassis. Although I wanted another Troy ind. chassis I could not bring my cheap ass to dropping $300 so I settled for this. It fits tight but is feather light. I have not taken it to the range yet but we'll see.
UPDATE.... Took to the range and the bolt would not cycle. Took the rifle apart cleaned it and everything works fine now.

Guys, I put mine together and it is garbage. I'm trying to return.

Well that's not what I wanted to hear :(
Can you be more specific? what's the biggest problem with it? is it sloppy fit? flexes? what?

0 votes

The fit isn't terrible. I may even say too tight. The screws strip easy both tread and head. Don't use the Allen key they give you as it's not the right size. The paint on the screws comes right off and make it look crappy as the stand out.

Just got this today. Fast shipping. It's a pretty crappy set. Like $5 of plastic. Really hard to the receiver in. I would say $25 with shipping is the right price.

Shipping is $6 brings a total for me to $55.97. Went ahead and bought one, I've got a spare 1022 that I bought recently for a really good price so I'll give this chassis a try and see how it functions.

True story! I bought my first one when I was twelve years old for $40. Now I own several, including one very sweet setup with all the goodies. My second purchase that year was a Harrington & Richardson twelve gauge breech action broomstick style shotgun for $60. One of the other 10/22 systems I have began as a $35 garage sale gun.

Every redneck kid I grew up with has those two guns.

The handguns always steal my money.
