Description

I just bought one of these. Very fast shipping. Very high quality. Talk with Ronna (662-781-4633). I ordered it on Thursday and got it on Saturday. The rear of the BCG has much more mass than many of the BCGs that I have seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjq4uDLTsbY... The gas tube is staked like the newer Bushmaster BCGs.

Mil-Spec MPI tested, 9310 bolt, D2 tool steel extractor, 8620 cam pin, 8620 carrier, 416 stainless firing pin, grade 8 gas key bolts, nano ceramic lined gas key and carrier.

Just want to give an update on the BCG I got from SNS. The overall quality is very good, and the finish is very resilient.

I did get to go shooting to break it in yesterday, and the staking on the gas key did prove to be an issue. About a mag in the screws started to back out and caused my rifle to short stroke. I tightened it back down and it started functioning flawlessly again.
My local gunsmith has the BCG now and is torquing and properly staking the key (costing me $10), but it will be good to go after that.

I still feel like I got a very good deal, and I actually plan on ordering two more of them if they are still in stock next week. I will just be staking the key a little better before I take them out shooting.

Wow....pretty hard to screw up staking a key........Red Loctite alone without staking shouldn't ever really give you a problem, so I would be concerned they never even got to the tightening of the bolts phase.

This is why I never buy from a fly by night company. You never know where the product is coming from or who is assembling them.....or not assembling them.

Again, I still feel its a quality product. A lot of manufacturers screw up the staking by my standards. Hell, the older bushmasters had problems at one point.

Received BCG in 2 days. 3% fee for charge card orders. Came to about $135 shipped. Bolt was NOT marked MPI, and calling SMI lead to a very badly done answering program for a company called "15 Accessories" that leads nowhere. Called Ronna, she claims they are batch tested and only the actual tested bolts are marked.

Staking looks fine, just touches the screws.

Transferring my comment over from the old post:

Ordered mine on Wednesday at 2:50, received it (in Florida) Friday at 2:00. They shipped same day and got it to me VERY fast.
The BCG looks great, and mine was staked well enough. If I was taking this to war I would probably stake it a little better, but if I was going to war I would probably be spending a little more than the $134 shipped I paid for it.

I will post an updated review after I go shooting with it.

Great deal, this is normal price for a good bolt. It is an 8620 Carrier with a 9310 Bolt. Doubt it's MPI tested, but the cheapest in a while for a good bolt.

Thanks for the post.

Nice deal Okos. Thanks for posting. This is more like it.

Beats the hell out of paying $250 for one that does the same job.

Is this an AR-15 bolt carrier or M16 bolt carrier?
