If by more extensive you mean not as good then I agree with you. If you think this is better than a RD rifle you don't know much.
I don't know why Saigas are so overrated. They are not put together with Qualiy in mind and they have a terrible finish that is easily attacked by mild solvents. Try mount a tight scope mount and you can see the steel deforms and bullets won't feed from the magazine. Trash.
meh. In 762x54r -yes. That'll be the only way I'd shell out this kind of dough for an ak.

It's probably a nice rifle, but you can get into the custom-ish range with a Definitive Arms 103U for this price. Krebs for $150 more. Rifle Dynamics is the best of the best and only $400 ish more.
This is a more extensive Saiga conversion that most Krebs and RD jobs. Sporter trigger holes welded up and ground flush, riveted trigger guard, authentic (not bolt-on) lower hand guard retainer, bayo lug, 45 degree gas block, 1000 meter sight, etc. Quite a bit of gun-smithing and attention to detail. If I was richer right now, I would probably add this as the AKM in my AK collection. But is this 2.5x better than a WASR for an average Joe AK Buyer? Hells no.
