Again thx boys for the links and feedback . I have a USO 5-25 as well. So I will compare and see who tracks better for the long boy. I popped on it anyway. We will see.

1/12/24 - The pre-tax price drops down to $518.69 with code "BMSMB". The seller might adjust the cost for you if you give 'em a call and ask.

I agree w gommer...a lot for the money here. And the comments tagged by oldashills support my opinions on bargain high mag scopes...glass is okay. Personally I can compromise on features if needed but glass clarity is paramount, and high magnification of course exacerbates the problem. Optics Planet has free returns so that definitely helps. I have high dollar scopes but this is so tempting I am considering at least looking thru this for another rifle.

You'll be hard pressed to get this level of quality in an optic at this price. At the MSRP of $1500 there's far better options. Sub $600, though, there's nothing even close, that I am aware of.

Worst case, you sell it for what you've got in it.

The only thing I'd caution is that this is a 2lb scope - which in hunting type applications is a lot of weight to put on top of most hunting rifles. Ignoring the whole carrying it aspect - on a 7lb typical pencil-barrel hunting rifle that 2lb optic is going to make the balance of the rifle seem really top-heavy. As far as 34mm optics in this magnification range go, though, 2lbs is about normal, if not even on the lighter end. My Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25 weighs in over 37oz and it's many, many multiples more expensive than even the MSRP of this optic.

So if it fits your needs - great scope for the money, made by a company with a good reputation, and has a very good warranty.

I believe these to be so heavily discounted because the manufacturer has discontinued this model. They still make the scope, just won't be making the FDE version anymore. Which I can see why, as far as FDE optics go Burris does crap at implementing it. I could do better with a can of spray paint and some tape. (Which I would probably do if I bought this)

Thx a ton. The weight was a concern. It’s going on a 20” DMR CRITERION Ar10 build. Realistically bench/blind gun. The reviews aren’t real telling in social media. I understand it’s a close out fire sale.
