Description
The DDM4V7 Upper Receiver Group by Daniel Defense is constructed around a 16-inch, cold hammer forged barrel and comes equipped with the extra features and quality expected from Daniel Defense products. The interior of the barrel is chrome lined for a superior service life, and is topped with a Daniel Defense improved flash suppressor to greatly mitigate visible muzzle flash. The gas system is composed of a mid-length, direct impingement system with a pinned low profile gas block CNC machined from 4140 hardened steel. This upper receiver group also features a 15-inch Daniel Defense MFR handguard, which is remarkably lightweight, ergonomic and offers excellent cooling. The handguard is outfitted with a full length picatinny rail in the 12 o’clock position with plenty of space to install iron sights and optics, as well as M-LOK attachment points for the installation of tactical lights, lasers and other accessories. In addition, this upper receiver group comes standard with a Daniel Defense glass-filled vertical grip, and an ambidextrous Grip-N-Rip charging handle.

The vast majority of veterans and police officers I know who have personal ARs (to include myself) have DDs. Most people who have been in situations where their life has depended on their weapon don't buy dirt cheap uppers.
Even if you piece together a full upper, it's gonna cost you about $500-600 for decent and comparable parts, and then you won't have the piece of mind of just being able to send in the entire upper to the same company if something goes wrong! I have built my own AR's too, but I prefer a nice battle-ready rifle that is used for my own self defense, so I choose BCM and DD to protect my family...
Than this ain't 4 you, right? But this happens to be the same cost of a BCM upper with a full BCM BCG (apples 2 apples comparison). So if you want a lifetime guarantee, PROVEN parts that have been assembled to spec, and at it's lowest price it's ever been, than go grab one! If you wanna complain about how one can be built SO much cheaper, than get to building, simple as that! :)
BTW: They ALL sold out, but can still be ordered, just may take a tad longer to get to your home...

With ar prices so low who is really paying 737 dollars for an upper. What am I really getting? A forged upper, standard bolt and a cool looking hand guard? Sure the barrels are decent but even cheap ballistic advantage barrels can do dam near moa. people need to wake up to paying such premiums for “name brand rifles”. This is a terrible “deal”.
