Amazon.com is offering The Glock In Competition, 2nd edition + Free Shipping on orders over $25. Considering action pistol competition? Our “unofficial” Glock user’s manual takes you through the Glock’s pros AND CONS as experienced by America’s top shooters. This book covers not only how to play and win the most popular shooting games, it explains reloading for the Glock, curing jam problems, tuning the trigger, and fixing the Glock’s Achilles’ heels before they bite. Our expanded second edition draws on GSSF master Bobby Carver, customglock .com’s Matt Kartozian, USPSA champ Julie Goloski, and undisputed master of the Glock, world champion David Sevigny.
A dedicated competitor since his college days on the University of Washington rifle and pistol teams, Robin Taylor serves as the Assistant Editor for the U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s magazine Front Sight. A GSSF master since 1998, Glock Armorer, NRA Certified Instructor, USPSA Range Officer, and owner of Taylor Freelance, Taylor has more than 14 years of experience using the Glock in all types of practical shooting events. Originally a revolver enthusiast, Taylor found he got along well with the Glock’s relatively long trigger travel, buying his first Glock, a G22, in 1991. The simplicity and reliability of the gun won him over, and he has been an outspoken fan of the design ever since. Taylor’s professional travels have taken him all over the United States covering shooting events and personalities for Front Sight, Gungames Magazine and Fishing & Hunting News (to name a few). His original “The Glock in Competition” was the first to focus on the competitive applications of the Glock. His 140mm and 170mm mag extension for USPSA competitors were the first of their kind, and remain among the most popular. He’s currently tinkering with “the Practical Shotgun Book,” a cooperative effort between him and noted shotgunner Patrick Kelley.
