The microRDS utilizes a unique mounting system, which utilizes the rear sight dovetail to mount the microRDS adapter. This adapter serves both as a picatinny rail and as a backup iron sight, featuring the Meprolight Tru-Dot self-illuminated sight. The microRDS itself attaches a via quick-detach mount, and can be detached/re-attached without the need to re-zero the optic. In addition to being an outstanding pistol-optic, the microRDS is highly suited for on shotguns, or as a backup sight to a magnified optic on rifles.
