An affordable upper assembly without cutting corners. This means using a nitrided steel gas block from an American Manufacturer as opposed to aluminum, quality American Made handguards, and using a proven Toolcraft M16 profile Black Nitride BCG paired with a 416R Stainless Steel Midlength barrel chambered in 5.56 with a 1:8 twist rate. The 1:8 twist provides the shooter the freedom to pick from a wider selection of bullet weights. From 55gr target rounds to 69gr match bullets, this barrel will stabilize them all.
This also means taking the time to ensure that the upper will function reliably. We use Permatex 242 on key components while using mil-spec AEROSHELL 33MS Anti-Seize grease on the properly torqued barrel nut and muzzle device.
Bottom line is this: you hear all the time about guys buying a budget upper and it not lasting or having to send it back because of some hardware defect or other issue caused by a careless assembly process. That is why we use brand name components, assemble each unit to the highest standard of quality, and why we don’t sell our uppers without pairing it with a BCG. This is a nice deal for an actual complete upper; Plus the SS barrel, slick side, and 15" M-Lok hand guard. No need for a foreword assist.

Stoner didn’t want the M16 to have an external forward assist because he saw no need for it. According to The Black Rifle — the ultimate source on the M16 platform — Stoner stated that after many types of testing programs, “I never saw an instance where it would have done any good … under sand and mud and every type of firing conditions in the world.” He also stated, “… when you get a cartridge that won’t seat in a rifle and you deliberately drive it in (to the chamber), usually you are buying yourself more trouble.”
