  • A cut above Ontario Knife Company has a long track record of making high quality knives. You get more than you pay for. How often can you say that these days? AUS8 steel works very well in knives, and these guys do it right (proper temper). I would bet Ontario D2 steel is also done correctly. More than can be said of others on the market (ask me how I know).

The RAT 2 is good EDC knife, AUS 8 blade will hold a decent edge not as long as D2. I bought one these a year or so ago as a EDC and it has held up nicely. If I was going camping or backpacking I would go for something D2 but for everyday use AUS 8 will serve you well.

Not the best knife ever, but a great budget folder. Spend a little more and the D2 blade.

I bought a pink one for my wife to carry. It's a really nice pocket knife for the money.
