It provides a bullet-resistant Level IIIA soft armor panel, protection which covers multiple hits of 230GR .44 Magnum @ 1,430 FPS (and all lesser threats). The backpack has a soft armor panel sewn into the back layer of the pack. The Phoenix also has a generously sized main compartment which conceals a large laptop sleeve. The laptop sleeve can be repurposed as a rifle-rated armor pocket, allowing the insertion of any 10”x12” size plate for upgraded protection. The large external accessory pocket includes a key lanyard with hook retention flaps to quickly facilitate needed gear.
