Quit buying like everyone has , and watch the prices FAAALLLLL !
I love PSA but their ISP / server can't handle more than two commodore 64's with dial up at the same time. Kind of makes it an easy decision to move on and not stare at a white screen.
I agree, it's frustrating to get through to make a purchase when they get ammo in stock. But their prices are still fair, and their shipping is still low. Their product is going to sell out within minutes of putting it online. Why should they take on additional overhead by buying enough bandwidth to hire the spikes?
I guess they're hit or miss. I ordered some ammo from them back on March 14th (Thurs afternoon), received a shipment confirmation on March 17th (Mon morning) and received the order on March 20th (Wed afternoon).
PSA: Working hard to alienate every customer we can!

I've placed IN STOCK orders with Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Natchezss, MidwayUsa, & Ammoman days or weeks after I placed my order with PSA (Palmetto'sStupidAss) and I will have received all of those orders by TOMORROW!!!
I placed an order with PSA earlier this month and got the package in under a week. It wasn't my first order with them and they've been quick and easy to deal with.
So you've placed orders for in-stock items with Cabela's (you probably paid more), Gander (you probably paid more), Nathesz (you absolutely paid more!), Midway sells out fast, and Ammoman...i haven't seen a good deal for 223/556 with them in months.
PSA wanted $12 shipping UPS to send me 15 boxes of this PMC 556 that I nearly ordered....your boys at Natchesz want $20 to ship a single box of anything!
Why is it with all the postings people put up about PSA, you are the only one bashing them? Weird huh?
I'm not the only one bashing them.. google them.. there are MANY others.. ar15.com has some threads, etc
I got the intitial order confirmation email and it says they will send notice once it ships.. they have yet to send ANYTHING...
It says on PSA that orders may take 5 days to process due to overwhelming business...blah blah... It's been 2 weeks+ and not even a SHIPPING notice....
and none of my orders were for overpriced ammo except maybe psa.. 60 cents per round 223 ammo!
they need to update their notice to 15 days or 30 days or 1 year.. whatever the time is before they SHIP items in stock...or they need to fix issues they have in regards to not having what they 'say' they have in stock!!!
Give them a call and see what they say or e-mail them and ask.
I've had online retailers lose my order before....find out what's going on. With as hit & miss/buggy as their site has been of late due to bandwidth, I wouldn't be surprised if their order history were messed up.
Not my first rodeo, had worn out speed dial and kept resending email. kept refreshing sight and it still shown in stock on web sight till i gave up at 5:30. only one complaining?? Their prices rock, their online service and web sight completely suck.
I called them 2 days ago, some guy said a bunch of 'stuff' I could hear him clearly one second and then not hear shit the next.. blah blah... don't know if he was on some cheap headset on spinning wheel in high winds or what.. he said he was printing my invoice and made it sound as though the order would be shipped some 18 days after I placed it. Then this morning I get a call/message from Alex while I was sleeping.. I called back at around 5pm and got some random dude after waiting for 7 minutes on the phone.. random dude said they would refund my money...but Alex said they would replace my order for Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics .223 55gr FMJ 50rds 223A (500 rounds total) with PMC X-TAC so I told the guy that Alex said... and he put Alex on the phone and I am now getting 500 rounds of PMC 5.56 X-TAC.. or so they say...
I hope it's true as I have only about 100 rounds of 223/556 and I have 3 new AR's to go shooting with SOON!!!
It would be a good deal if it was free shipping and I didn't have to wait a month for delivery.
