Just picked up one of these for a bench .308 AR. Can only give some minor initial impressions at this point, but it's definitely a quality piece, built solid. Glass quality seems decent. The magnification adjustment is a bit stiff, but it comes with a throw lever built in so no big annoyance there and it'll probably loosen up a bit with use. Windage and elevation turrets are easy to grip and give nice audible clicks. Reticle is absolutely tiny and a little difficult to see at minimum magnification and like most scopes in this mid price range it becomes a little tough at absolute max magnification, but not to an unusable degree. Sweet spot to me seems to be in the 8-12x range. I don't know about most others but I don't plan on using the 3x much anyway.

The ACSS Apollo reticle is great, it's simple to learn but detailed enough to give you the information and basic holds you need. Everyone's opinion on illumination is different, but for me the first three levels on this are barely noticeable and pretty much useless, 4-5-6 is where you'll be. It has a shutoff between each illumination level which I honestly can't decide on being useful or a little annoying. It came with removable flip-up lens covers if that matters to you, I took them off because they covered the diopter adjustment.

It's a tough call between this and the Vortex Strike Eagle in this price range. Got both in 3-18, I think both are comparable in glass and features, both offer great warranty support, both are built well, I like PA's reticles more, the Vortex has brighter illumination.
