There are several companies doing this. What they apparently don't realize is that's its a violation of the federal trade laws and they can be prosecuted for it. Redx arms is the same way. Ordered from them two months ago they billed me and will not return emails or answer the phones. And all the parts I ordered were in stock supposedly.

they are out of stock and although the website says in stock and shipping in 4 weeks my order was never filled and has been 3 months, they are misrepresenting themselves on this ad

I ordered in December and have not received my shipment, they will not answer the phone or emails..... site says 4 weeks ship time and I would be happy to wait 4-6 weeks for the price but not 3 months without response. I will be disputing charge with my bank

Well that blows. I wish you luck finding a carpenter steel bolt and carrier for under 200.

LOL,

I ordered mine on 12/25/12. I'm about ready to cancel and fight these aholes. Everything I ordered was "in stock" according to their messy ass web page. I purposely did not order anything that was OOS. They indicated they can ship in 2 weeks for "in stock" items at that time. Total BS.

my carrier showed up today.
The staking is decent.
There are still some machine marks on it. Bolts go in and out of the carrier with little effort.
The finish is almost a satin or matte. I purchased a kies nib carrier over the summer. It is much glossier very polished. The kies looks and feels slicker.

I like the rguns carrier after looking it over for 10 minutes and lubing it up with some motor oil.
For me it was worth the wait.

Looks like Rguns billed your card on 1/31/13 and it showed up 6-7 days later on 2/6/13. Rguns billed my card on 2/14/13 and it's still not here, 8 days later. I've had enough of this rguns BS and I'm going to dispute the charges on my credit card. I placed orders after the 14th from other companies like brownells, which are at my doorstep already.

Did you get a tracking number when they shipped?

No tracking info. The only way people are getting tracking info is signing up for a ups service that notifies them if their address pops up in the ups system.

Personally i wouldn't get that irate about it. Right now you are faced with these options. Overpay for a bcg and get in in 7 days. Wait till the panic dies down or backorder it. The last thing you can do is buy a bcg made of inferior material.

You've been in line since dec. Your upset, but you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The hit on your credit card proves it.

I think listing it in stock and taking 6 weeks to ship is shady. I'd rather deal with the dbags at rguns and wait than to pay current prices or buy a bcg of inferior material.

If you think the wait for a bcg is bad, try looking for a 223 shellholders, small rifle primers and 223 dies.

Hope you get satisfaction what ever course you take.

thanks i will give it a couple days. im lucky enough to find everything i need at reasonable and wholesale prices due to connections but rguns has been a nightmare.

flip it on gunbroker when it comes in. wash your hands and make a little coin for your headache. you should sign up for that ups thing if it's free.

If you ordered a bolt it's 158 carpenter steel. Worth holding onto i think if you put a bcm extractor upgrade. Lots of 8620 and other material bolts showing up. I had one 8620 bolt implode on me last week.

Did you get the semi auto of full auto variant? I ordered the semi auto as I was under the impression it was proper for a semi auto gun without running into law issues, that ad I was in a hurry to click my order into the system fast as possible. Now i'm reading the full auto ones are heavier and generally work better. Another contention of buyer's remorse lol.

I ordered a full auto. I have both types of carriers in different uppers.
A semi auto carrier will be fine even more so considering the panic. If you are worried about reliability the best thing you can do is put in a decent buffer spring, maybe a h1 or h2 buffer.

The springs cost 4 bucks, the heavy buffers are around 30. You can get away with a standard buffer they are cheaper, don't go cheap on the springs.

I wouldn't worry that much about buyer's remorse. It evaporates when the ups man shows up and you realize people are paying 250 for an instock bcg.

Thank!. I found another source for BCG's and actually received some last week after only a 2 week wait. I'm thinking I may just sell them on and keep the full auto versions I ordered from my other source, after comparing the quality of the two manufacturers.

if it were me they would turn into new uppers.
Sell em on gunbroker. I got a dsa stripped upper a few days before the panic set in. I flipped in on there for about 2.5x what i paid for it.

I'm not sure how much longer the panic prices will persist. The backorders should start showing up on shelves soon.

Company does not answer phone or respond to email. Before I made my I order I talked to a friend who bought an upper from them and he was happy with it; after I made my order he told all the problems had with getting his upper. Their website said 3-4 weeks at the time of my order and currently six weeks have elapsed. Their product is decent, but their service sucks.

It also isn't legal for them to charge a $100 cancellation fee. It is ridiculous that people would order from several websites then try to cancel all of their other backorders, but that doesn't change the fact that according to the FTC's "Mail or Telephone Order Rule" (see: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/products/pro28.shtm...), when no time frame is specified a company must ship the item within 30 days. It goes up to a timeframe of within 50 days if the consumer is also applying for credit on the item through said company. This precedent applies universally to online purchases. You can search if you would like to find precedence. This is all provided they don't ship it within the first 30 days. Amazon is a good example of a company that makes contact with you semi-regularly on backordered items to confirm that you still want the item so they can stay in compliance. If they don't ship before the 30 day mark then they are no longer in compliance as they have not specified a specific date for delivery.

Also, if you have a credit card and decide to charge it/do not pay the balance and have issues with them shipping it or charging you well after the fact when you no longer reasonably expected to receive it you can write a complaint to your credit card company's dispute division (it requires a physical snail mail letter in order to be legally covered under federal regulations) in accordance with the Fair Credit Billing Act which is also a federal law. The other caveat with that is you must have it postmarked your credit card company's dispute department within 60 days of receiving the statement. If they don't rule in your favor you can elevate it past the credit card company and still eventually have it ruled in your favor. They will charge back the retailer, provided you never paid off the balance, and recoop all interest fees. The amount itself will be frozen until someone rules on it.

All of these companies would like to make a bunch of new rules to restrict and prohibit certain actions by consumers, but most of them are completely clueless about the federal laws which govern their business and transactions. Even a representative from my bank was not versed in the details of the Fair Credit Billing Act. Know your rights. Be informed. And use it against anyone that tries to break the law. The FTC knows and often states that violations are far and frequent for these types of offenses.

Unreliable

One of the worst companies I've ever done business with. If they try to charge you a cancellation fee just dispute it with your credit card and do a chargeback.

F*** it, its only $115 bucks even if it takes a few months, it would be great to have as a backup... They dont charge your card til they ship, but If you need a BCG now id go elsewhere...

For my purposes (to have a backup without paying an arm and a leg) its perfect as i have finished sourcing the pieces for my first build.

I just ordered a bunch of BCG's from them. I hope to see them in less than 30 days! :-)

if you wish to trust ordering from them right now, they have one of the worst reps on the net and BBB
I can get rguns stuff but usually get it thru my supplier instead.

Same here. Had one ordered for 3 weeks.

The website says in stock, I have had mine on order for about a month and still haven't shipped. They don't bill your card till they ship but i'm not sure they are telling the whole truth about being in stock.

Same here ordered a few weeks ago, no charge or email as of yet that they have shipped mine. Of course it probably has to do with them charging a 100 dollar cancellation fee, they feel the need to bait more suckers in to ordering in the hopes that they will cancel.

"If you place an order for an item we have in stock, we pledge to fill your order. However, many people are placing orders with multiple merchants and as soon as one of the merchants fills the order, cancelling the orders with the others. As a result, we are forced to impose a $100.00 order cancellation fee at this time."

^ exactly i wont be cancelling my order, and they wont be charging me until they ship. For me this isnt a problem.

But the item isn't in stock. So, they lock in future purchases now. And you never really know when they are going to ship. It's a sleazy thing.

agree 100%. I have an "in stock" BGC on order now for 5 weeks. Complete BS.
