The SIG SAUER® SP2022® is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and protected by SIG’s black Nitron® finish. Available in 9mm, and .40 S&W, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm.

Anybody have a mini review on these? I have a gift card burning a whole in my pocket. I was waiting on the preowned hk to drop to 450 again but a new sig for under 450 sounds to good to be true?
I have the SP2022 9mm version. Trigger is pretty good and most say better than the P series. The mags run about $40 each, but on the this .40 version, you can drop the 357 SIG barrel in and shoot it as is. Same mags and recoil spring. I swapped out the recoil rod, as stock , its a polymer rod. The grip is good, as you can change the backstrap size. Night sights are also SIG Pro specific, not the same as P series. Bang for buck, the used HK USPs may be better choice if the nights are still good and have 2-3 mags. Also, SIG said on the 9MM, +P ammo was OK, but no +P+, but that really doesn't apply to the .40 S&W. Keep in mind, these were $350 pre-panic pricing and $380 with the SIG laser.

I have 2 of these....I paid $369 or one and $349 for the other....price fluctuates. I have seen them for $379 on PSA, and $349 on Kentucky Gun Co (where I bought one)......
Will you see it for less in the future? Anything is possible....
As far as the gun goes......expensive mags, but these are absolutely reliable and great guns. I have one and my girlfriend has one. I have replaced the poly guide rod with a Stainless, but that is not needed as the gun is designed to run on the poly one. The gun shoots accurately, and reliably.

Thanks for posting im tired of people giving the poster shit because it was cheaper so many years ago... when there's something i absolutely have to have i dond mind a small premium when its the cheapest available. Lately ive had to spend an hour or so price checking before i order something because i think the whiners have kept most people from posting deals and slick guns is the first place i look when in need of something or another.
the problem is many of these so called deals arnt deals.
Again...if someone is in the market for this gun, this is the cheapest price around, and from a better than average company. Said person has two choices.....wait until it drops (and hope it does) or buy it at the best price NOW. I mean, just because its posted, and is the absolute lowest price anywhere, doesn't mean anyone has to buy it. I assume anyone of legal age to own a gun can make a decision on his /her needs and finances.
That said, I agree, this isn't the best deal for this gun...but this is the cheapest price NOW, and I still believe this gun is one of the better values at this price, even if it is $80 higher than ONE dealer had it for 6 months ago.

John Moses pretty much only posted great deals, and knew what he was talking abut.......some of the rookies didn't like that.
I miss the guy.....and who doesn't like great deals. I think its pretty awesome that so many still talk about this guy and seem to have an obsession with him.....it's weird to me that grown men would do that...but hey, it's cool for John Moses right?

I regret not buying one of these when they were <$380 but even at this price its hell of a gun.
