I just bought one of these and it is a nightmare. The blemish on mine was horrible machining and lack of finishing. There were razor sharp burrs that went the length of the 4 friction points around the carrier and there were burrs so bad on the holes for the cam pin and firing pin retainer that I had to file them to keep them from dragging on the inside of the receiver. I had to file and polish the 4 friction points to get rid of the burrs to keep from shredding the aluminum receiver, which obviously removed the nib plating from one of the areas that benefit the most from it.
Once I thought it was finally acceptable to try and close the bolt, it seated nicely, AND STAYED THERE. Yes the bolt locked up. The carrier will move about 1/2 inch back and the bolt was not budging. I finally got it free by yanking on the charging handle like I was starting an old weedwacker. I put bcg's from 2 other guns in the receiver and they are smooth as can be, but i have tried this thing twice with no luck. I'm going to try swapping all of these guts into the carrier from another gun and see what happens because I have a feeling that the hole for the cam pin is out of wack. With the giant burrs it will be no surprise.
I am not the only person with this issue. There are others on ar15.com reporting the same thing. Spend a little more for a non blem unless you are really bored and want to try and make one work.
