The Glock 48, also called a slim Glock 19, is manufactured with matte metal construction and a polymer grip. There are no finger grooves on the frame and the width is decreased. This model represents the combination of the convenience and ergonomics of the Glock 19, and the slim profile and concealability of the Glock 43. It is only 1.11 inches wide, compared to the Glock 19 (Gen 4), which is 1.26 inches wide. The fact it has a 10-round magazine makes this pistol very comfortable for concealed carry. Keep in mind that these magazines only fit the 48 and 43X, because of the unique frame measurements. This pistol is very light and easy to use and it’s accurate as well. It has a compact-size grip length, a built-in beaver tail, and a minimal profile for a balanced, flexible grip that’s perfect for many different types of users. Slide features are upgraded, for example, front serrations and a well-known Marksman barrel, introduced with the Gen 5 line. The trigger on Glock 48 is a bit heavier than we used to find on larger Glock models but the reset is very smooth on it. The reduced size and weight permit you to feel a bit more of the recoil. It is very easy to operate but needs good maintenance to stay reliable. In conclusion, it’s smaller than a standard Glock 19 but it has all the best features of it, and many people consider the Glock 48 the best all-purpose Glock.
