The Glock 38 has been in production for more than 15 years. It is a compact semi-auto pistol that uses .45 GAP cartridge and has about 7.36 overall length. Like all Glock handguns, it has the same triple safe action internal system. The Gen 4 brings a few innovations like a new dual-recoil spring structure and customizable backstraps for better comfort. The main components are non-interchangeable with the previous models. The grip is also smaller than Gen 3 model, the texture is less rough, and the color of the metal parts is lighter. Gen 4 magazines can be used in previous generation models but the opposite is not possible. It comes with 2 double-stack, 8-round magazines.
