The Colt New Agent is a compact, lightweight 45ACP (or 9mm) semi-automatic pistol designed for discreet carry and backup duties in police work. It is light because the shortened receiver is made of aluminum alloy, and short since the upper has a barrel that is just 3 inches long. The New Agent can resist everyday use and tear as well as repeated training sessions. In comparison to the typical Government Model, the New Agent detail strips are slightly different and more comparable to the Colt Defender. To help with gripping, the front strap is serrated. The hardwood stocks and thumb safety are inspired by early Colt Government Models. This handgun only weighs 24 oz.
