The Weatherby Model 307 is a new bolt-action rifle that represents a departure from their standard lineup while still staying true to Weatherby's core values. The rifle features a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action that is compatible with aftermarket accessories and utilizes the Remington 700 footprint. The Model 307 comes in both short and long action versions and offers standard and magnum bolt face options. The bolt incorporates a tool-less takedown mechanism, an M16 extractor for smooth cycling, and is spiral fluted for weight reduction. The cylindrical design allows for Stiller/Savage scope mounts and 8-40 screw threading. The placement of the bolt release button on the receiver ensures compatibility with a range of aftermarket stocks and triggers. The Model 307 is finished with a Graphite Black Cerakote for enhanced durability. Weatherby offers the Model 307 in three package options. The first option is a stripped action for individuals to build upon. The second option is the Model 307 Range XP, which includes the 307 action, a Weatherby fluted barrel, Magpul bottom metal, a TriggerTech trigger, and a lightweight stock. The Model 307 Alpine MDT uses the same 307 action, TriggerTech trigger, and fluted barrel with Accubrake, all fitted inside the MDT HNT-26 ultralightweight chassis system. The HNT-26 also has an integrated ARCA rail and has a graphite black Cerakote finish.
