The Ridgeback rifle features a two-lug system in its action, incorporating a separate floating bolt head to ensure precise contact with the lug abutments. It also includes a cone-shaped bolt nose for seamless cartridge feeding and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor located at the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece stainless steel bolt body has a rear pad to accept the threaded-in bolt handle, and the bolt shroud and bolt stop are fully Nitrided, providing extreme durability and self-lubricating properties. The bolt handle is Cerakote-finished for maximum protection. The two-position safety is integrated into the TriggerTech trigger with Frictionless Release Technology in the Ridgeback rifle, allowing the bolt handle not to lock in the closed position, facilitating unloading while in the safe position. The Ridgeback comes standard with a 5-round AICS style magazine (7-round mag: 6.5 PRC) and is available in three barrel lengths: 20″, 24″, and 26″. Notably, the Ridgeback is the first composite stock to fully support the M-LOK system.
