Good price on a very thin backup or ladies gun. I carry mine in a pocket holster and it disappears nicely.

Love the CM9 but I had it freeze up on me and have a delayed striker firing sequence after being left in a cold vehicle overnight…Kahr said the gun powder residue in the striker channel froze up causing striker to delay…
Went back to normal after warming up…

Certainly happens. Striker fouling is a fairly common occurrence with over-oiling, debris, water saturation, freezing temps in all striker fired guns....excess oil is the most common problem with the Glock channel in my experience, followed by oil and sand, despite its internet reputation for never failing...

After shooting one briefly I had it in my mind for a while that these were awesome. Then I bought one. Maybe the one I shot from a guy at the range was tuned up, but the one I bought (and I assume all of them) has a heavy trigger which is to be expected, but nevertheless not desired. Furthermore the capacity seemed like a fair compromise for the size, until I bought a Springfield Hellcat Pro and realized that you don’t need the smallest pistol on the market to conceal carry well. On that note, this gun is too small to grip comfortably at least in my hands and naturally also has more recoil. All that notwithstanding, I retired it to a drawer without much grievance until I took it to the range a few weeks ago and the front sight literally fell off, without being knocked into anything. I have no idea where it is and now I need to buy a replacement front sight to render the gun useful to anything beyond point blank range, which is about all it’s good for without extensive practice. The parent company is also the corporate branch of a bizarre cult. If you buy one of these, or already have one, it’s not the biggest mistake in the world. I’ve shot far worse. But I’d definitely recommend a Springfield, Ruger, Canik, Sig, CZ, or even Taurus over a Kahr. Only thing worse is probably a SCCY, although the front sight never fell off that one for me.

Strange complaints and comparison but whatever. Sounds like the mistake is with you but thanks for your blessing in allowing others to own one. My biggest complaint with tiny compacts is with mag changes which are painfully slow, but that's not their attribute. FYI the company also owns Magnum Research and Thompson Ordnance so maybe the weirdos know what their doing after all.

I'll be the Devil's advocate. This Kahr CM9 and the more finely made PM9 are micro-compacts, and noticeably smaller than the compact Hellcat Pro, at least in my pants, vest, purse, girdle, etc., so our requirements for concealed carry may be different. (The Glock 43 may compare more accurately). Although the Hellcat is OR and may be ideal for, say, a Church Security member, the Kahr is noticeably smoother at the muzzle without the rails, and the larger trigger guard and shoe-less trigger face enable easier glove use...some of us despise triggers with shoes/tabs for several reasons. The Kahr has a factory 6-7lb pull against the Hellcat's 5-6, and many of my associates prefer the heavenly smooth consistency of the Kahr over the sinfully gritty Hellcat. The Kahr's pull is similar to the HK LEM and it's main selling point. Sights and finishes vary per model, and honestly we haven't noticed any parts falling off either gun despite lots of use...my PM9 has dovetailed NS. And while I agree that more is always better except in lima beans, 15 rounds just don't fit in a 6 round tube. Many States make it a crime to try. Ain't it nice we have legal options? As for grip and accuracy, well, that's the compromise with subs... the PM9 certainly shoots into 3" at 20yds with good ammo and practice, and disappears on a vest or ankle rig. Concerning the other brands, Ruger, Canik, Taurus and SCCY are verboten due to reliability problems. In the end I put the Hellcat in the drawer, and use an OR SIG365 in its place. To each his own. And hey, being the Devil's advocate, I like bizarre cults....they keep up the competition with the Turkish terrorists and dirty CEO's.

Very good commentary about the gun. Usually a pistol with a low price is about what you have written about. LOL on the SCCY, you are exactly right on that gun. I shot one that my friend had, and it hurt to shoot it. Pistol prices are coming down, save your money and buy something that cost a little more. Spend a little more money and get something a little nicer.
