I bought this from this company and it was a top notch experience. Shipping was fast. The price was great. The bcg was perfectly machined and the price was great. It was perfect. I will be purchasing another NiB BCG from Granite Ridge in the future for my next build. You guys didn't disappoint me and I appreciate the quality of service you provided.

Take a look at the St. Croix Tactical if your in the market for a Nickel Boron BCG posted up a deal that is less than what i paid for it. All they make is BCG and no fluff.

I can't speak for ares but if granite ridge wants to sell previously acquired ares products, why wouldn't customers buy it? I've bought from granite ridge before and the order was on sale, accurate and shipped fast. If the product is good and the vendor stands behind it for replacement, there's no reason why this isn't a good deal for us as buyers. If I wouldn't have bought an aero precision bcg from granite ridge last week I'd be on this deal.

Appreciate the kind words. We certainly stand behind the products we sell. In the rare case of any issue, we'd definitely make it right for the customer.

Wouldn't buy another from them. First one I got was machined horribly.forward assist notches looked like they were chewed in by a beaver.

Did you get it through us? I'd be happy to make it right for you if that's the case! I know that Ares Armor refused a batch from one of their manufacturers a while ago (maybe a year or so) because the BCG's had the issues you mentioned, and they ended up being picked up and sold by AIM.

Ares CEO apologizes for publicly firing company founder

The chief executive officer at Ares Armor, Bryce Stirlen, apologized Wednesday for firing the company’s founder in an open letter.

“I made a mistake, I let emotions get the better of me and I reacted in a manner that is not in line with the way that Ares Armor Inc. composes itself,” Stirlen wrote on the company’s website.

He said he was sorry for his “errors” and hopes to regain the trust he’s built with Ares’s employees, management and fans since taking over as CEO.

Sincerity was also extended to the company’s founder, Dimitri Karras. “I apologize for posting information publicly that should have remained private. Regardless of our differences and how we have clearly hurt one another – it gave me no right to disrespect you, for that I apologize,” he wrote.

Stirlen said he met with Karras yesterday to discuss the situation. “Although both of us are emotional and have not fully resolved our differences, we made some good headway,” he wrote.

But Karras’s future with the California-based company is still unclear. “Haven’t spoke with him since yesterday. I am unsure of what this means as of yet,” he told Guns.com in an email.

Stirlen replaced Karras as CEO after his company, Lake House Capital Management, LLC, based out of Hinsdale, Illinois, acquired the assets of Lycrugan, Inc., the holding company of Ares. However, Karras held on to 30 percent of the company. At the time Karras said the buyout would afford him more time and the financial backing to attend to an ongoing court battle with federal regulators.

Federal agents raided Ares last spring for selling unfinished AR lower receivers, items that lack specific machining characteristics and a serial number. The feds confiscated materials from the company’s storefront, which were later returned, but Ares refused to give up customers’ names.

Strirlen said yesterday that Karras was fired for openly criticizing the company’s management and financial discrepancies, both of which Karras denies.

To defend himself, Karras compiled a 29-page document to explain his side of the story, which he said was issued privately to Stirlen over the weekend and made public only after Stirlen issued his letter.

OK, that's the apologies but do you have links to the original "dirty laundry" that was being aired and caused the firing?

Personally, with what Ares has pulled over the past few days it has made me thought twice about where i spend my money now. The stunt that the CEO pulled the other day in mass email mailings and publishing his dirty laundry was likely the worst biz practice ever. Bryce, you gave Ares a death sentence this week......regardless of any apology letter you just sent. We all know your legal council made you write the apology based on your prior press release......fine line on libel there. Either way, stick a fork in Ares. The are done (sucks to say that as a past buyer).

Please enlighten those of us who are unfamiliar with that situation. Thanks

The new CEO of Ares Armor sent out this letter in an e-mail to everyone on their subscribers list:

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/07/07/ares-armor-ceo-fires-founder/...

I felt it was very unprofessional and after reading a bit more about the situation, I unsubscribed from their list and cut ties to their Facebook page. I'm sure many others did the same...

There was a HUGE backlash against Ares. Just go check out their Facebook page - they get dumped on for just about anything they post now, sales, parts giveaways, etc. I'm sure this action has been very bad for business...
I don't think I saw ANY comments in support of their actions.

I didn't unsubsribe but it placed them as spammmers. They started filling up my email with the few hour sales. It looked like a desperate attempt to drum up working capital and cheesed me off.

Bankruptcy is imminent! Word within a handful of FBook firearm pages is Ares has yet to ship any orders over the last 1.5 weeks for those buyers who set aside their grievances with Ares and decided to pick up Ares sale items on the cheap! I wouldn't buy anything from them now anyway, especially now after hearing about lack of shipment of products. But yet, they are still taking orders. What does this remind everyone of???......another potential Rockwell Arms situation where if you buy anything from Ares you risk loosing your money and will have to wait to collect your money back once the bankruptcy goes through the courts and assets are sold off. Just watch, Ares is like a train wreck right now, the train is already derailed, just a matter of time till it wrecks and this one will wreck hard. It is interesting now that other vendors are selling there products now, that's a safe buy......if your willing to sell out for what Ares now stands for. If I was Granite Ridge Outfitters, I would remove Ares name from any Ares product that I'm trying to sell. Otherwise, any vendor will not profit from anything Ares related. Trainwreck, just watch.
