Specs
A Dedicated Drum Mag for Your CZ Scorpion EVO 3
Don't worry, you CZ Scorpion owners! Magpul didn't leave you guys out with its latest release. When Magpul came out with its D-50 drum magazine designed for Glock-compatible pistol-caliber carbines, it also adapted this reliable design for the popular Scorpion EVO 3, one of the most popular pistol-caliber carbines on the market.
Each Magpul PMAG D-50 EV9 magazine incorporates many of the same features found in the company's rifle-caliber D-50 and D-60 magazines, which are noted for their reliability among the drum magazines on the market. The D-50 EV9 includes a similar ratcheting loading lever that takes tension off the magazine spring, making it easy to drop in 9mm rounds. The mag also includes a rear window that allows shooters to see the number of rounds remaining, as well as a high-visibility follower.
The Magpul PMAG D-50 EV9 also includes a bolt hold-open feature when used in the CZ Scorpion EVO 3, as well as any other Scorpion-magazine-compatible gun designed to lock back after the last round.

You do realize it's for a CZ scorpion in 9mm and not a AR in 5.56......right ?

Thorax, yes I know this is for the Evo 3.

ItWasntMe, I do not own one but have used one. I still fail to see the point as bulky, annoying to load, most drums mfg's tell you not to leave them loaded or wound up for extended periods, prone to failure as compared to traditional magazines, and costing 3-4 times more in terms of capacity than a traditional mag.

I just don't get it, spend $85 less and you could still have a Magpul 35 round mag that is probably 100 times more reliable*, spend $65 less and you could carry 70 rounds in a much smaller package, spend $50 less and get yourself a mag coupler if you are too fancy for duct tape. I just don't understand who buys these things.

*Not that Magpul drum mags are junk but no one is going to argue they are just as reliable.
