Update 07/28/2015 - We originally suspended sales of our Tula's, Laminates, and Hex Receiver rifles when we had gone through all we could readily get access to , without digging through to the bottom layer of crates ( we would have had to move the world to get to them ) during our initial sort. We stated at that time that we may re-list these options if and when we found more after we completed our sort..... Well, these remaining options are now finally available. See Brutus Description for more details.

$190 for the poorest of condition Mosin? Maybe when you could buy spam cans for $50.

what this doesn't tell you is the only option available is the "ex-sniper" for +$75.

I had a similar experience. I bought two good-very good Glock 22s and they were really much more fair to good. Even my local FFL dealer was apologetic about it, and it wasn't even his deal. This was my first transaction with them, and I probably won't have another.

Ditto on Classic's Poor Customer Service -
Ordered a used Glock 21 described as in "excellent" condition. Short story- it was not even close to "excellent". Customer service did nothing to make it right. That's when I found out why their "reviews" are all 4 and 5 stars -because they DELETE all the bad reviews! I wrote two different 2 star reviews - neither were ever posted by Classic. Brutus' reviews are BS.
I no longer do business with these people.

Recently I ordered a 75rd drum (7.62x39) from CF. I received it with the hinge that connects the back cover to the drum not attached. Obviously not the way it supposed to be. I sent them an e-mail (with pictures) of the broken hinge to them explaining I want to exchange the drum. I had to pay to have it sent back. I got an e-mail from the representative handling my return saying there was nothing wrong with the drum upon their inspection and I was automatically getting a refund. I tried calling him several times but got told he was "busy" or speaking with another customer and he would call back. Never did he get back to me.

So 1. That tells me they never looked at it
2. They didn't have the balls to speak to me personally about the broken drum.
3. I wasn't reimbursed for paying to have it shipped back to them.
4. Classic Firearms and that representative can eat a fat dick

My two purchases from Classic yielded less than acceptable results.

I would be cautious. I have been burned by CF before.

Not sure why all the negative comments about Classic here. I have bought several firearms from them with no issues. Good communication, fast shipping and decent prices. Yes $189 for a mosin is high but show me where you can buy one cheaper on the market today. I call it like it is so if a company treats me bad, I'll not use them again but in this case, classic will stay one of my buying options like that $799 vepr 12 keeps calling my name... Soon oh so soon.

Vepr prices are going to go way down in the coming months.

Look already down $100

Well put, I'm guessing shills for classic in support this does not belong on a deals page

So, if somebody has bought lots of stuff from Classic Firearms, has had great experiences with those purchases, and tells others that he likes the company and their products, that makes them a shill for that company?

I don't think you understand the term "shill" very well.

I never acussed anyone so if your getting defensive maybe the shoe fits? I'm just a stating it's obvious classic has shills, every classic post instantly has praise from all kinds of people and other gun shops just as good if not arguably better like wideners, aim surplus, and jg never have anywhere near as many people defending them hardcore. Also classic deletes bad reviews on their site why have an option for reviews if you delete the bad ones? Their Facebook page you can't post to page or leave reviews like you can aim surplus? What are they scared of? I'll buy from them if the price is right but they're so annoying with their buisness practices of much rather deal with someone more honest if the price is close

Classic has never annoyed me and I've been perfectly happy with the many guns and accessories I've purchased from them. I'm not a shill, just a satisfied customer. If you're not happy with them, that doesn't mean that those of us who are are merely shills.

If you can find somebody else to get what you need, go for it. Companies like Classic need to earn our business, and if they don't earn it, don't give it to them.

And that's all I have to say about that! :0 Oh, and have an excellent day. :)

Thanks you to but their buisness practices have certainly left a sour taste in my mouth, as far as the product it comes as states but for instance their k31s they don't specific what you'll get beechwood or walnut its a gamble get they charge 339 ten more than aim does for their walnut stocks while their beechwoods are 299. Their prices are never competitive until someone else brings in the same stock for a lot less and they are forced to drop prices, I'm not saying I'll never buy from them but they certainly don't deserve the praise as if they were the greatest surplus dealer when they are far from it!

I was told not to long ago that $1000 was the "new norm" for an M4 or AR 15. I was told .49 a round was the "new norm" for 5.56 ammo. I was told .15 a round was the "new norm" for .22 ammo. I was told "green tip" would be gone forever. I was told you couldn't buy a Sig brace anymore.
Now I can buy a name brand AR for $450, 5.56 for .30 a round, .22 for .06 a round at my local hardware store, green tip crap is almost back to normal, and a Sig brace is $100. I'm sure the Mosin is gone forever.
Sarcasm aside, if a rifle shoots true and it is only $200; the nostalgia, conversations, and fun at the range seems worth two $100 bills.

I feel sorry for the poor bastard who is going to pay this much for a Mosin! should have jumped on these awhile back when they were $99 ($99 for the good ones), $79 for the average and $59 for that Chinese shit. A collectors re-market in years to come will be minimal Mark up as the 91's were one of the most heavily-mass produced firearms in history. Hopefully that sting of paying $189 ($209 w/shipping) does sting too bad....like a kick in the nuts :-/

I quit drinking a couple years ago and never really felt comfortable owning a gun in my condition but I just started buying guns(4 now) back in November and wish I did sooner because these companies are jacking up the mark up like MoFo's! I'm still thinking it's not a horrible time to buy as these greedy bums aren't done with the profit padding by far...

The only ones left are +$75, anyone know if those are worth the extra?
I'm reading these bad stories and might look elsewhere though...

I get it that you disagree with the price of the product. But do you really think some guy that bought a Mosin for $189 is going to feel a "kick in the nuts" if the same gun is for sale for $139 in the future? You could work one day at Burger King and quit to make up the difference.
What other tool do you know of that can defend, feed, and entertain yourself for $209? Yeah, it's marked up/high priced now and it may be go back to the days of $99 (hopefully) But if $100 is getting in the way of you buying the firearm you want, well, I guess we differ. How many high power rifles are near $200?

Possibly but if you just keep throwing away 50$ dollars often because you are impatient it will add up quick, and the longer you give in to high prices the higher you raise the bar of pricing and then it will never return to the old price even when they're back in stock everywhere again, look at .22lr well never see it on the shelves again for .2-3cpr thanks to panic buyers and what not, I get offended when people pay these prices because then they'll keep charging them. Let them sit and they'll come down.

no classic is a horrible retailer, i will never give them another penny even if the price drops in half

I've had excellent experience with Classic on multiple occasions. My only complaint is that they take their time in packing. But other than that, they are great!

I suppose everyone's experiences are different, but I've purchased three rifles and a handgun from them over the past two years and they have been honest, prompt, and fairly priced. Great people, that I've dealt with, and quick to answer questions.

That being said, they do seem to state that "this shipment is likely the last". This is annoying but is also a byproduct of the firearms atmosphere we live in. Fear sells when the product is defensive. It also helps when the product is as desirable as the Mosin. It has such a mystique about it and has been so cheap for so long, people talk about it. As I said, it sucks that prices are jumping the way they are and hopefully one day companies like Classis will stop with the hollow warnings of "this is the last of it!". They and others have done that with the 7N6, Saigas, and Veprs... yet all are still available at various times. This message could be my last post on gun.deals. This day might be my last day on the Internet. This might be the last sentence I ever wr

I'm new to the Nagant world...

There's such a variety of Nagant rifles out there - I am not sure which to try. Is this a decent model for a range plinker? I don't much care about the wood since I'd likely drop it in a synthetic - I'm more into good core parts. Does Classic usually sell an honest Nagant with good rifling, decent bolt, not 8 lbs of disappointment?

Yeah they ONLY made about 6 million hex receivers so they will one day be worth a lot of money. Of course that day will be in the year 4025 and they will have ray guns.
If you want to put a decent scope mount on it and do it yourself get a hex receiver, it is easier to drill the holes for the scope mount.
Nevermind all the "collectors" that whinge about modifying a rifle. If timney triggers and Rock Solid Industries scope mounts would have been available when these were made then the Russians would have used them.
Timney trigger, rock solid scope mount, and a new stock, pillar bedded, free float and glass bed the action and you have a nice, cheap shooter. The chances of you actually getting a rare mosin these days is just about nil, they look through all the cases for them.
DO what you want to a mosin, they made millions of them.

Classic is good to go. If you're going to bubba the rifle by modifying it just get the cheapest version they offer and leave the hex receivers for the collectors.

Agreed. Get a beater. You can clean up the metal, but a trashed stock is a trashed stock.

I got a beater Chinese Type-53 Mosin from Southern Ohio Gun a few months ago for $90. I bought 2 of them and ended up refinishing one into a nice shooter. The other went into an Archangel stock. Very cool. The Archangel stock also fits the 91/30. The stock was a lot of work, but I'm pleased with the one I refinished.

If this gets thumbs up than you know the train for cheap mosins is leaving fast. Anyone know if any of the huge importers plan on bringing more into the USA?

It's not worth the risk if you're thinking of getting one. We definitely know the supply is/has dried up, and even if more do come, they're not going to be cheap anymore.

yeah bullshit.....they can still be had for less and there are still millions upon millions of them left to be had. They are not dried up and they will be imported again. I don't know if any of the people acting like this is any sort of deal is a schill for Classic but this is no deal at all. Classic has said no less than 5 times that their latest shipment of mosin nagants was the last....they freaking even admit to it in their long diatribe about why this time it really is true.....don't waste your money on these scumbags....others will get them in at better prices. Let them sit on this shit until they post reasonable prices. They should be max $149

Exactly, I'm "bearish" on this (not a) deal. Let them sit on these, wait it out and watch the prices fall....and it will happen, either that or another stock pile will show up just like they always do with nagants. At max they should be $149 for a hex and even then I'd probably hold out. Well said Kennyboy, and this clown MR 22....people who don't already have a Mosin, well they might aswell pucker up and bite the bullet if they are willing to pay double. The only people who are willing to pay up here are the have nots and the fools. PS., I have nothing against classic either....other than "deals that pop up", wait it out and those deals become much better. Ben/Brutus....you see his hands shaking in the video? That's because classic took a huge risk....classic likely paid $150 per a rifle, will they make a profit or will they eventually have to sell at cost or take a loss? Hmmmm, I know where my money is riding on this one!

Well, I've been watching the prices of all variations of Mosins at lots of different sellers for the last six months, since I got my C&R, and they are either going up steadily or currently out of stock. Same deal for the Nagant revolvers.

So, if you know of a deal for that price, by all means, post it. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love to get this gun in this quality for $149.

if you are trying to compare mosin nagants to nagant revolvers then you havent been paying attention because there is no comparison. There truly is a shortage of the revolvers and its been for much longer than 6 months. mosin nagants have remained plentiful and as normal go in and out of stock often.
