Good luck with that. I have two of the MP15-22's. I like them that much. To me they are just some thing different to shoot. But, they are very accurate and dependable. With mags at $12 for the 25 round factory they, the mags, are a bargain.
I put, the expensive slide fire stocks on them. The stocks are used for other calibers, not just the .22. Ordered the 3.5 trigger from them for $170. You can get the same trigger here for $130. After going through two bricks I gave up. Some times it would work, and some times it didn't. The MP15-22 listed above is way to "special" for me.
Where is them & here for the trigger. I payed $150/shipped for the trigger from optics planet. & The rifle was $359/shipped. The stock was $89 & it runs like a swiss watch. I did replace the flash hider with slidefire booster for $25 from Ebay.So I have $600 & it works just like the youtube at about 800 rds per min. So much fun & so much cheaper than 223. You can get them for 10/22s but who wants a POS 22 with a plastic trigger group. Ruger should be ashamed! I like their other products but remember Bill Ruger was for the magazine ban big time.
Slide fire is where I got the $170 trigger. On SG is where the $130 Velocity trigger was purchased. I replaced the flash hider to. Got it from Slide fire. Good company, at least for me. I had a problem with the stock and they send me a new one. I need to learn how to do YouTube. Some thing about a video worth a thousand pictures. I will try to learn that in the next day or two. I have had no problem using .223, 9mm, .300BO, 7.62x39, and haven't tried the .458 Socom. I am very glad to hear that yours works. I thought about sending the guns to Slide fire, but they are both NFA SBR receivers.
I went the cheap route with a Bump fire stock & found a Timney 2# trigger but both Bumpfire & Slidefire said use the CMC so maybe the trigger is the problem. I'm not even a semiauto shooter but it is a blast & the cheap ammo works fine as do the 35 rd mags from CDNN for $6.99 Good Luck!
A fool and his money, they say...
What a total slab of cow poop. I could see 400 dollars, maybe, IF I wanted a fake AR-15. But why? A real one is cheaper than this hunk of crap.
Tell me ONE thing this turd does better than a Ruger 10/22? (Besides look like an AR?)
I can shoot the nuts off a squirrel at 250 yds with a 10/22. The 10/22 has parts availability, mags and drums, multiple barrel choices, and costs from around $199 to $329 depending on the model. You could get two 10/22 Rugers for this price, and have enough scratch left for a PILE of ammo.
It is priced higher bc it is the Performance Center version with the match barrel and 2 stage trigger. I have the regular 15-22 sport and it is a really fun gun and incredibly reliable. They make 35 round mags at plinker tactical and a 50 round drum from black dog something. I paid $349 shipped.
Why is this rifle priced so much more than an MOE model with a threaded barrel and 25 round mag?
Is it because it's Ca. compliant?
This is the performance center model with the two stage trigger & the barrel is 18". I'm good with the $300 one either way.
$299.99 @ palmetto state armory right now. .
That's the old model without te threaded barrel & the new look. after paying shipping you're better off buying the on I posted above, shipped for $359.
Don't buy these, they are garbage. The pistol grip screw on mine stripped out for no reason after only about 100 rds through it. Its just a screw going into plastic. Why Smith didn't just make the pistol grip built into the receiver I will never understand. If they had, this gun would be a winner. As it stands its a major design flaw.
A non-defective screw, torqued to the proper spec, and subjected to the stresses for which it was designed will not strip its threads. There IS a reason why the threads stripped. I'm leaning towards a defective screw if the plastic receiver ruined the grip screw. Have you tried to work with them to get the screw replaced? Or you could go to a hardware store for a new 10-cent screw.

I just ordered this for $369/shipped It looks just like it except mine comes threaded for a can & has a flash hider. I'm putting a bumpfire stock $90/shipped, 35 rd mags for $7.99 & if needed a CMC trigger $170/shipped. It will be as fun as a 223 & a lot cheaper to shoot.
