The Smith & Wesson M&P 9 is a striker-fired pistol that shoots 9mm caliber ammunition with 17+1 capacity. It was introduced in 2005 and gained not so much of popularity. In the 2017 the M&P line was refreshed with the release of M&P 2.0 with upgraded polymer frame, improved magazine release, improved trigger, more aggressive grip texturing and some cosmetic changes. The M&P line includes a variety of variations with different barrel length: full-size 4.25-inch barrel, a compact 4-inch barrel model and a long-slide 5-inch model. The guns from this line also use calibers like .40 S&W and .45 ACP as well. The Smith and Wesson M&P 9 features a stainless-steel barrel and slide, and polymer frame with matte black finish. Overall, this is a pretty reliable and accurate firearm that somehow stepped out from the shadow of Glock pistols and found its own place in the firearm world.
