Another excellent choice for carrying is the Kimber KHX. This is a robust handgun intended for hard use. It has barrel lengths varying from 3 to 5 inches (Custom, Pro, and Ultra size) and is chambered in 9mm, 10mm, or .45 ACP. On the frontstrap of the grip frame, the gun has stiplex stippling. Small hexagonal-shaped cocking serrations are visible on the slide. The grips' unique texture in black and green is also noticeable. They are "Magrip" by Hogue and are constructed of G10 material. The KHX can be obtained with normal fiber optic iron sights, an optics-ready slide (OR versions), or a red dot sight installed (OI models). A laser may also be mounted to the Hogue Enhanced MagGrip G10 handles on some custom versions. The KHX Custom RL (OI) variant comes with the most features pre-installed, such as a rail for lights and a Trijicon Type 2 red dot sight.
